Local Care Force are currently recruiting for a Registered Children's Residential Care Manager to run a residential care home for children and young people who experience problematic behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.

As a Registered Manager you will hold full responsibility for your home ensuring it meets the standards set by the Regulatory Body, whilst also providing the highest quality of care and support to your children and young people. You will be responsible for leading a care team in overseeing all aspects of the service and ensuring that the needs of the children and young people are met. You and your team will support the children and young people to develop their independence, cognitive and social skills in a safe and nurturing environment. You will manage and supervise the staff team and ensure that the home is compliant with all regulatory and legislative requirements, internal and external policies and procedures.

Your main duties would include:

Safeguarding all children and young people in your care, ensuring processes and procedures are in place and applied consistently
Leading, supervising and motivating your team to ensure the highest quality of care and support
Working positively alongside our internal teams and external agencies to contribute, monitor and report the progress and outcomes of all our children and young people
Ensuring that all staff effectively manage challenging behaviour, enabling our young people to develop from a position of needing external control, toward self-control

Ideally you will have experienced in working within a management role in a children and young people's residential care setting and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent. You should also be experienced in leading, inspiring, supervising, guiding and supporting other members of staff, managing budgets, completing detailed analytical reports and have a sound working knowledge of The Children's Act 1989, The Childrens Homes Quality Standards and all other current legislation that is needed to operate successfully at a 'Good'/'Outstanding' level as dictated by OFSTED
