Victoria Walker is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a company that provides service delivery and support for chromatography and related instrumentation and equipment. The company is based in Cheshire however this is a field based role - they are looking for someone to join the team on a full time, permanent basis to be based ideally around the M6/ M60/ M62/ A1.

The company services a range of large pharmaceutical, biotech and contract laboratories and they deliver rapid, on-site response to system faults, accurate online technical support, manage service schedules & routine maintenance and provide 'best in class' compliance. Due to expansion, the company is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to be based primarily in the Midlands/ North. Company car, mobile and laptop will be supplied and salary is in the region of GBP27-37,000pa depending on skills and experience. Servicing a range of chromatography equipment including HPLC, GC and GCMS, the company also provides assistance with a range of other lab equipment; training courses; instrumentation relocation packages and also refurbished equipment. They are also ISO 9001 accredited. Some training will be provided to develop the all-round skills required, but a proven background of hands-on experience with
a range of the instruments listed below is essential. This role would suite an experienced Analyst seeking an external mobile technical role or a current Field Service Engineer wishing to broaden their service disciplines.

Responsibilities of this Field Service Engineer will be:
-attending site and supporting the existing customer base
-maintaining and qualifying all brands of:
-Tablet Dissolution Equipment
-Incubators, ovens, stability chambers, freezer
-General lab instruments such as Titrators, Conductivity Meters, pH Meters, Centrifuges, Polarimeters and more
-instrument qualification
-troubleshooting, calibration, installation of the above
-travelling throughout the UK with some overnight stays required

As a Field Service Engineer, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Degree qualified or equivalent in a scientific discipline
-Proven industry experience of the regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical industry
-In-depth experience with maintaining, calibrating, installing, troubleshooting general laboratory equipment and/ or similar involvement with Chromatography Spectroscopy (HPLC, GC & UV/Vis) - essential
-Customer focused with excellent communication skills
-Flexible, Self-Motivated, Extremely Productive and Organised.
-Some training will be provided to develop the all-round skills required, but a proven background of hands-on experience of user maintenance and calibration, coupled with troubleshooting is essential
-Experience with Agilent, Waters and/ or Perkin Elmer equipment would be advantageous
