A leading membership organisation and regulatory body (within the medical field) based in Edinburgh is looking for a Division Manager to manage the relationship between the organisation, the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government.

This role is being offered as a temporary opportunity, working 35 hours per week.
Salary: GBP36,031 pro rata

Key Responsibilities -
- Ensuring all consultation documents are sent to the appropriate members
- Assisting the Officers in their relationships with the Scottish Government including the Minister for Health, MSPs, the CMO and Nursing Advisory Structures, the Workforce Planning Unit and Health and Social Care Integration Directorate
- Service the Cross Party Group on Mental Health of the Scottish Parliament including maintaining the membership list, preparation of minutes, agendas and correspondence.
- Monitor the business of the Scottish Parliament & in liaison with the Communications and Policy department alert officers, members and College staff of parliamentary issues related to mental health.
- Manage the Public Affairs agenda in collaboration with the Communications and Policy Department
- Attend Executive Committee meetings in order to update members and officers on policy, parliamentary matters, and College business

Essential Skills -
- Extensive working of mental health policy and healthcare systems in Scotland
- Excellent customer service/ oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility to attend meetings off site and outside usual work hours
- Event management
- Committee management
- First line supervisory management
