A recognised global market leader, our client is a major Global manufacturer, producing a distinctive range of products. They work through innovation and investment, both in their production facilities and people.

In order to remain at the forefront of a highly competitive and fast moving market, they have created a role for a Project Leader to work on external manufacturing and co-pack projects. This role will help lead project engineering activities across the globe, accountable for ensuring the efficient production of a variety of products.

Role

A challenging and stimulating role, you will be responsible for engineering NPD / EPD project activities.

You will help create, implement and manage expenditure budgets for the factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, covering R&D, brand and marketing/commercial functions, supporting the introduction of new products and processes into new markets, working closely with planning and procurement to optimise manufacturing delivery times.

You will manage co-pack and 3rd party packaging and manufacturing relationships.

Requirements

Demonstrating experience within an FMCG environment in an engineering, technical or project management role and a proven track record in the delivery of significant project tasks.

Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes is essential, as well as FMCG fill and pack experience.

You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead large teams. A proven track record of meeting agreed performance targets, and financial reporting skills are also crucial to the success of this role. You will also have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance.
