GCSE English & Pathways Lecturer
SCCH Pathways area (16-18 year olds) is seeking an enthusiastic GCSE English & Pathways Lecturer who is keen to develop their skills with vulnerable students and students who are not yet ready for mainstream programmes. This is a part-time position, fixed-term until 7th July 2017.
You must enjoy working with young people, to develop their skills and help them overcome their barriers to learning in a supportive yet structured environment.
The role is highly demanding and you will need to have drive, determination, excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive and flexible approach to working. You will also have the ability to work enthusiastically and reliably under pressure and need to be able to manage your time effectively, as the work involved would be both on and off site. In addition, you will have excellent verbal and written communication with service users, professionals and other team members.
You will have significant experience of delivering groups and working directly with young people. You need to be able to work in an innovative, creative and strengths-based way, in order to support young people in achieving their individual goals and plans.
Please note this is a temporary role to cover maternity leave until 7th July 2017.
