My client is looking to recruit for a Senior Programmes Manager who has a thorough understanding of statistics and/or epidemiology, statistical analysis and modelling.

In partnership with the Measures Technical Manager you will lead the growth and development of the companies Measures programme, including identification of Measures priorities and definition of the Measures growth strategy. This position will have a particular focus on new client development and the sale of Measures services and therefore must have a good understanding of the statistics, logic and methods underlying their work. The position will also play a direct role in leading the implementation of Measures projects to selective major clients.

Main Responsibilities of the Job:

??Work along-side the Measures Technical Manager to support the Senior Management Team in establishing the role of Measures within the organisation's overall strategy. Identify development priorities and resource requirements and provide regular progress reports.

??Lead the development of new markets/clients for Measures work, which will include working with the Technical Manager on development and presentation of methods and their applications to potential clients and converting opportunities into sales.

??Oversee the development of funding proposals, budgets and work-plans to support Measures work.

??Manage the implementation of the Measures components on major projects including the management of any statistical programming workflow.

??Provide remote and in field support to run projects and ensure final deliverables meet the highest quality.

??Manage the junior members of the Measures team (currently 2 people plus several long term consultants) with technical direction and mentoring to be provided by the Measures Technical Manager. This will include support for work plans /administration and HR needs

??Work with the team to document lessons learnt and disseminate the outputs of Measures work through reports, articles and presentation in national/international forums.

The successful candidate will obviously meet the requirements mentioned above and will have demonstrable knowledge, experience and competence in Statistical Analysis and Modelling, as well as language based statistical or numerical analysis software. You will be able to communicate knowledge on survey design and methods and statistical analysis in layman's terms to clients.

Additional knowledge which would be desirable is as follows:

Experience of developing project proposals and Budgets

Multi Country Project Management

Knowledge and experience of using R language for statistical computing and graphics
