Our client is a dynamic, fast growing and game changing broadband provider who is making a significant difference to the broadband landscape in rural England. A builder, operator and provider of pure fibre broadband services to consumers and businesses, the business has established itself as a major player in the fibre infrastructure landscape in this country over the last 5 years.

They are working with us to source an experienced Billings Operations Manager

The Job

* Support the design and implementation of a new billing platform (Zuora)
* Take responsibility for the end to end customer invoicing process and lead the full order to cash cycle
* Oversee the accuracy of data across the billing platform and required inputs from CRM. Work with the systems teams to resolve data integrity issues and improve work flows
* Take ownership of billing policies (T's and C's), process maps and procedures, and ensure everyone is trained to the highest standard and best practice is adopted throughout the team
* Maintain a relentless drive to improve billing processes, automate and integrate systems and reduce the volume of billing related contacts through root cause ana
* Partner with the business to find ways to enhance the customer experience in every way possible (customer portal, self-service billing, text/email notifications etc. etc.

* Commercials

- Working in partnership with the Marketing team (product management) you will manage all changes to the product catalogue in a controlled way e.g. introduction of new products/services and price changes

- Partner closely with the Marketing team to create campaigns, special offers and promotions that can be automatically administered through the new billing platform - Zuora

- Supported by the Commercial Finance team you will create, own and produce regular dashboards and KPI reports on key metrics such as Revenue, ARPU, Churn etc.

- Work with Commercial and Finance teams to identify opportunities to increase revenue and decrease costs through a combination of product rationalisation and efficiency improvements

- Ensure all billing processes and revenue accounting entries are consistent with applicable accounting standards (IFRS), and comply with Ofcom regulations

- You will be responsible for ensuring smooth collection of direct debits and managing relationships with 3rd party direct debit bureaus and payment gateways

- Management of the accounts receivable ledger on Zuora and all associated credit control activities e.g. debtor letters, legal action, query resolution, direct debit administration etc.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

- Previous experience managing subscription billing at scale

- Clearly understands billing systems architecture and is systems 'savvy'

- A history of process improvement and change management in challenging environments

- Process mapping and work flow optimisation

- Exposure to revenue recognition under IFRS

- Excellent Excel ability including analysis, reporting and dashboards

- Logical and clear assessment of KPI's and key business drivers

- Strong people management skills

- Billing Operations and Customer Experience

Desirable

- Qualified accountant

- Lean Six Sigma/Prince2

- Experience working with Zuora, Sage 200 and Salesforce

- Systems implementations

- Telecoms background
