Learning With and From Each Other

The pupils of Friezland Primary School are looking for a new headteacher who:

will inspire us to aim high and achieve our goals,
believes in our potential to achieve great things,
is energetic and has a sense of humour,
is firm but fair and
makes time to listen to our ideas about school life.

Friezland is a small, semi-rural community school with 107 pupils on roll. It is based in the picturesque Saddleworth Village of Greenfield but is within close distance to several towns and major cities. Friezland is highly regarded as a very happy, friendly school where staff and children enjoy good relationships as they work together to learn with and from each other. We pride ourselves on our friendly community ethos where everyone works hard to ensure the best outcomes for our children. We know our children can achieve great things and we are looking for an experienced leader to inspire them, the staff and the school community to be the best that they can be.

The school was recently judged as Requires Improvement and therefore Governors are seeking to appoint a highly enthusiastic and innovative Head Teacher to lead the school forward to once again secure a Good Ofsted rating and to further becoming an outstanding school in the future. We would welcome applications from someone who has the following skills and experience:

A proven track record of leadership, management and improving pupils outcomes through a clear strategy for developing high standards of teaching and learning to ensure that every child achieves their full potential,

The vision, passion and capability to motivate, challenge and inspire children and staff,

An open approach to fostering active partnerships with staff, parents, governors and a commitment to the community ethos of a school that values everyone as we Learn With and From Each Other,

A commitment to working in partnership with Governors and parents

An ability and willingness to adapt with and manage change with a clear vision for further improvement.
