About the job
Active Recruitment are looking for a Geography Teacher for a permanent position starting September 2017 (July start for NQT).

At present, GCSE students follow the OCR 'B' Specification "Geography for Enquiring Minds" from this academic year. The 'A' Level specification offered is Edexcel.

The Geography Department is a successful and well established part of the school. The subject is a popular option for both GCSE and 'A' Level students. Results have been excellent: in GCSE for the past three years, 85% of students have achieved grades between A* and C

School & Department Information:
Our client is an 11-19 mixed school based in the London Borough of Redbridge, East London.

They are looking for a Geography Teacher to join them from September 2017. The school is highly regarded in the local community and is much sought after. They regularly achieve GCSE grades above the national average and consistently obtain good Ofsted reports.

There are currently 3 members of staff in the Geography department.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position you must have:

*PGCE, QTS or a recognised Teaching Qualification,
*Knowledge of teaching Geography to KS4.
*KS5 Geography welcome.
*DBS on the update service,
*The willingness to undertake extra-curricular activities including after school sports clubs and tournaments.
