Job Purpose:
To provide clinical and operational support to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager in the delivery of a comprehensive Occupational Health service to the main departments, it's partners and external customers in line with legislative requirements, best practice, quality and customer service and through a contribution to service and practice development.
Main responsibilities
Occupational Health Specialist Nurse Advisers will have a significant role in assisting and supporting the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager in the delivery of a comprehensive Occupational Health service to the main departments, its partners and external customers. In addition to occupational health clinic, assessment and advisory responsibilities, OH Specialist Nurse Advisers will be responsible for:
Day to day operational and clinical management of the service, staff and resources, in line with KPIs, legal and best practice requirements, professional standards, quality and customer service.
Apply clinical judgement to prioritise and allocate referrals and cases, taking into account and managing effectively workloads, available resources and skills.
Facilitate and provide clinical supervision, line management, leadership and support for Occupational Health Advisers and Screening Technicians and assist in their professional development as required by the Nurses and Midwives Council. Act as a role model for best practice within the specialist field of Occupational Health
