Payroll Clerk/ Bookkeeper

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

A firm based in Hemel Hempsted is looking to recruit a Payroll Clerk . The role will report into the Office Manager. Applicants will need to have all round payroll experience & some book keeping knowledge.

The company offers annual appraisals and reviews, performance bonuses.

• Cash ID
• Bank reconciliations
• Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Raising invoices
• Data analysis
• Processing weekly and monthly PAYE payrolls
• Processing new starters and leavers
• Updating changes in employee details
• Offsetting tax deductable expenses.
• Billing agencies
• Keeping up to date with HMRC legislations.
• End of year reports (P60, P11d)
• Statuary payments
• Customer Service - answering incoming calls and e-mails. Queries range from tax code questions to how a payslip is calculated.
• Replying to e-mails regarding personnel details and payroll infoirmation
• P Forms - input incoming P45, P46 onto the in house payroll system and issuing P45 to contractors.

Payroll clerk skills will include;

• Brightpay (Desirable) / Sage 50
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, and be calm and resilient
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent telephone manor
• Friendly and a team player
• Computer literate, good Microsoft Excel skills
