We are recruiting for an exceptional Science Teacher to join a hardworking, determined, and child centred team at a school in East Lindsey. We are looking for someone who will offer additional support to strengthen the existing department and who has a desire to progress and take on additional responsibility over time. There may be future opportunities to teach across the Further Education age range with support and training for those who would be interested in this as the school is part of a Multi Academy Trust which offers an FE provision. We are welcoming applications from newly qualified teachers, and more experienced teachers who have taught key stage 3 and key stage 4 Science. The successful applicant must have Secondary Qualified Teacher Status.

The successful teacher will:

* Be able to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, delivering challenging, well-organised lessons across the ability range.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of the curriculum working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a coherent programme of study.
* Supervise support staff, and provide cover as required.
* Consistently mark and feedback to students ensuring that best levels of progress are achieved.
* Set short term targets for learning, taking into account prior attainment, ensuring that assessment is ongoing and recorded in line with school and national policy.
* Have high expectations and commitment to school improvement and raising standards in education.
* Possess the ability to lead, motivate and inspire students and colleagues alike.
* Set high behaviour expectations, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through positive and productive relationships with students.
* Support the school ethos and encourage high levels of attendance and good standards of punctuality.

About the school

The academy opened on 1st November 2015 as a member within a highly successful local group of academies.
The academy follows the same model of school improvement that has made the leading group academy Ofsted-rated Outstanding for the last eight years. Other members of the academy trust have been Ofsted rated as Good in all categories since joining the trust with one school being categorised Good just five terms after joining the group.
The academy is expanding and is currently recruiting pupils in years 7 - 10, it also has recently celebrated vastly improved GCSE results with 63.49% of students achieving A*-C grades in English and Maths.
