Sewell Moorhouse are currently working on behalf of a global service sector business based in the centre of Sheffield with their search for a Tax Accountant.

Their vision is to be the leader in their field on a global basis, a vision which is underpinned by a set of core values which invests in their people, their clients and their community.

They are currently looking to add to their Central Tax Team who are responsible for providing strategic tax advice, implementing tax policies, managing tax risk and ensuring / monitoring adherence to tax compliance obligations.

Duties include:-

Running and reporting on projects to resolve tax related issues within the business.
Responding to ad-hoc queries from the business.
Maintaining control of the day-to day tax compliance of the Asia Pac region.
Calculating year-end tax provisions.
Controlling permanent establishment risk management systems.
Maintaining comprehensive records.
Developing relationships with key personnel.

The Tax Accountant will:-

Have a strong knowledge of tax fundamentals across different areas of tax and be able to apply that existing knowledge and experience to international practices and legislation.
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with the ability to influence, negotiate and persuade.
Work alongside more senior colleagues in designing and embedding end-to-end solutions from entity level to individual partner level considerations.
Be a self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team.
Have a strong client service orientation.
Be a qualified accountant and/or chartered tax advisor.
Candidates should have experience of working in tax - ideally experience in a mixed tax role.
