Senior Practitioner
Our client is looking for experienced and skilled social workers to work within Family Support Service to contribute to and apply the Council`s strategy to support vulnerable children and families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- To ensure service is delivered in line with Oxfordshire`s principles and values of working with partners, children and families.
- To provide case work to children, young people and families who meet the threshold for the service, these will include children and young people whose needs approach but do not reach the thresholds for statutory intervention ( as defined by the matrix of needs) , and those who require a statutory response through CIN, CP or LAC.
- Provide services in-line with the expectations of the Thriving Families programme
- To assist assistant team manager and team manager by contributing to the planning and development of the service and to assist the management of the work flow
- Prepare and manage cases for court, including liaison with children`s guardians and other legal representatives (statutory team only).
- Supervision of students and contribution to the induction of newly qualified social workers or support staff.

Essential Requirement:

- CQSW or equivalent social work qualification
- HCPC Registration
- An understanding of the impact of abuse, social deprivation and disadvantage on children, young people and their families
- Knowledge of child care legislation with the proven ability to successfully implement this in the workplace
- Knowledge of Troubled Families National programme
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Ability to travel to and access a variety of premises
