The Role

A leading national care home provider is currently seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a dedicated Elderly General Care unit at a large care home in the Bolton area. Reporting to home manager, the Unit Manager will be accountable for the smooth day-to-day running of a the EMI Nursing unit within the care home providing leadership and direction to the nursing and care staff. You will work closely with staff and residents' families and will ensure that all residents have individual care plans which are closely monitored and adhered to at all times.

The Person

You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail, always acting with integrity and being driven by the principles of fairness. You will behave professionally at all times, showing respect to residents, their families and your colleagues. You will be a nurse with previous clinical leadership experience. In previous roles, you will have been in charge of individual shifts delegating duties to nurses and care staff. You will also have previous experience of assisting in the development of colleagues either through supervision or mentorship plus previous experience providing nursing care in an elderly and dementia setting.
