The Role
The Team Leader will report to the Theatre Manager and will oversee a dedicated Anaesthesia and Recovery team as part of the overall Operating Department team. You will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance to Recovery Nurses and ODPs, working closely with surgeons to ensure patients' needs are met throughout operative and post-operative periods, and will support the Theatre Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the Surgical Suite. For a candidate interested in taking on additional responsibility with the possibility of progression within 12 -18 months, there is the possibility of combining the role with duties of a Deputy Theatre Manager as the team is currently being restructured.

The Organisation
One of the UK's largest private healthcare groups, this organisation offers private surgical treatment at multiple locations around the country, in dedicated hospital settings. Covering cosmetic, elective and non-emergency surgery in this Merseyside location which has a surgical suite comprising three theatres.

The Person
You will be a qualified nurse with a valid PIN and significant operating department experience with a particular focus on anaesthesia and recovery. You will have supervisory experience and have led a team on either a permanent or interim basis and will be both keen to continue to learn and develop while also able to share knowledge and experience for the benefit of the team. You will enjoy mentoring and aiding the development of staff and will have excellent organisational and time management skills.
