A highly visable role has become available for a Finance Manager. You will work closely with other departments to support their staff with all finance related activities as well as leading a small team of finance personnel in ensuring the strict month end deadlines are achieved.

Main Responsibilities:

* Production of month end management accounts to strict group deadlines and ensuring they accurately reflect the financial performance of the business

* Support the Financial Controller as part of the month end reporting process.

* As part of the month end process review monthly accruals for reasonableness, consistency and ageing

* Work with the business units to ensure the integrity of the monthly forecasts are maintained and challenge as appropriate

* Manage the annual business plan process, assisting business units with the accuracy of the financial information

* Ensure all payroll reconciliations and forecast vacancies are aligned to the recruitment process.

* Overview of all overtime, commission and bonus calculations ahead of submission and against forecast, explain significant variances

* Manage a small finance team, ensuring an efficient approach to financial management

* Work with the project accountant to ensure pipeline of opportunities and cost of delivery are reflected in forecast.

* Assist the project accountant in production of capex submissions and cost benefit cases.

* Work closely with the Field team to produce court Income calculations and analyse variances to forecast

* Deal with group information requests

* Production of quarterly client finance pack

* Manage the IBM invoicing and finance process

* Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance to capita policies

* Oversee and challenge facility work quotes and consider alternatives.

* Validate facilities spend against main supplier contract

Qualifications and skills essential for the role:

* Accounting background (qualifies, studying towards a professional qualification or qualified by experience)

* Excellent knowledge of MS Excel

* Good knowledge of accounting standards

* Able to communicate and build strong working relationships at all levels

* The ability and willingness to quickly understand, apply and work to improve processes and systems.

* Ability to challenge the way information is presented and suggest alternatives

* Excellent attention to detail with an ability to work to tight deadlines.

* Able to use initiative (and advice of others) to identify new solutions.

* Team player with a 'hands on' approach

* Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively

* Knowledge of SAP and Axiom would be advantageous
