This is a wonderful opportunity for a Management Accountant with experience in the logistics sector to join one of the leading 3PL providers.

The purpose of the role is to managing costs effectively whilst maximising opportunities to enhance business profitability. The successful candidate will be delivering effective commercial solutions by understanding customers needs, processes & priorities and developing strong business relationships internally.

Key duties include:

Review & validate depot Weekly Profit Estimates prior to submission to the business.

Monthly preparation/review of P&L and balance sheet with supporting Variance Analysis.

Review & support in the development tracker document to support ongoing Continuous Improvement Programs, providing analytical support and identifying cost saving opportunities.

Preparation, review, consolidation and presentation of Budget & forecasts.

Commercial analysis and reporting to assist with customer negotiations and renewals.

Capital investment/business case reviews and evaluations.

Develop a strong control environment within the portfolio.

Review current processes to ensure effective and efficient management of the company's finances and compliance with company procedures.

Preparation/review of quarterly rolling forecast.

Debt management, liaison between credit control and customer.

Review and coordination of the fixed asset register.

Monthly preparation/review of customer cost statements and interact with portfolio customers regarding business retention and reviews.

Preparation and presentation of customer budgets.

Develop a strong business partnering with operational managers to ensure that they have strong financial awareness of their sites' financial performance.

Adhoc projects & analysis.

Liaison with Internal/External auditors.

Previous experience and skills required:

* Finalist / Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).

* Proven track record in a similar commercial supporting role within logistics/service/manufacturing sector.

* Strong MS Office skills, Excel Advanced, PowerPoint.

* Strong Presentation skills.

* Strong Report writing skills and proven past experience of investment appraisal.

* Confident outgoing personality, with the ability to forge credible working relationships with Business Partners.

An essential part of this role will be to support a number of depots within the southern region. For that reason, it is important that applicants can drive and have their own vehicle. All travel will be expensed and there is a car allowance available in addition to the salary listed above.

Whilst working hours will typically be between 8.30am - 5.30pm flexibility will be required to support the business. There may also be the occasional overnight stay required.
