Our customer is a fast-growing digital media company, publishing a community website for businesses who sell through online marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon. They help members find the best software for their needs, discuss the latest issues and trends, build their knowledge of the industry, and learn to become more effective sellers.

Description:

Their unique series of blog posts have over 14,000 readers and cover a range of relevant industry topics falling into categories such as Data and Statistics, Buying Guides, Expert Voices and Myth Busters. They are active on social media and have over 21,000 Twitter followers. The most popular posts have been read hundreds of thousands of times.

Job Purpose :- to work closely with the Founder to research, plan and write weekly blog articles.

You will need to be highly literate, with a history of writing professionally, academically and/or as a personal passion. Strong analytical and research skills are essential, and you must be able to structure an in-depth article from research and interviews. You will need to be able to write in a variety of styles and formats.

We will ask to see examples of your writing.

Hours Part time, 4 hours daily, flexible, (office based).

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Research new article ideas and opportunities
• Manage guest authors and edit their articles
• Create article concepts and outlines, and write articles
• Ghost write articles for external experts (with a co-writing credit)
• Source images for articles and carry out basic image editing
• Set up articles in WordPress including images, meta description etc.
• Update and maintain the editorial calendar Key skills
• Candidate must have a proven track record in research, analysis and writing
• Candidate must have a strong command of verbal and written English
• Uses initiative
• Detailed, organised, reliable, and can meet deadlines
• Keen attention to details
• A good standard of computer and internet use skills
• Understanding of social media

This position would be on a temporary to permanent basis for the right candidate.
