Key Care & Support is one of the UK's leading agencies, providing quality staffing solutions to service providers across public and independent sectors.

Our clients is one of the UK's leading providers of support services for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and other diverse and complex needs in community settings.

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Service Manager with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management/Registered Managers Award(or working towards). The role requires a minimum of 4 years experience within the learning disability, and/or mental health sector, who will be responsible for the delivery of excellent operational services within a defined locality in the Flintshire area.

The Key responsibilities involve, but are not restricted to:

1. To monitor and support the delivery of person centred services to all people using the service.

2. To monitor and support the health and safety of both people using the service and support staff.

3. To ensure that the actions of all staff directly supporting people using the service support their care, protection and well-being, and in compliance with external regulations and standards.

4. In the absence of the Area Manager to take other responsibilities for all aspects of the operation of the office.

5. To provide supervision and support to Team Leaders through effective recruitment and selection, coaching and Performance Management as well as Support to manage their team of Support Workers.

6. To ensure effective financial administration of the services delivered, through the effective deployment of staff and budgets.

7. To use and update IT processes to include the completion of accurate rota and timesheet information as per organisational policies and procedures.

8. To work effectively with external agencies to promote the work of the organisation, and to increase referrals and placements within the Area in line with defined business targets.

9. To develop knowledge and skill of staff teams through delivering service specific training as and when required.

10. To develop own knowledge and practice relative to continuous service improvement.

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. The Service Manager may be asked to carry out other activities as specified by the Area Manager.
