This fantastic Secondary English Teacher position available for a long term contract starting as soon as possible is the perfect opportunity to join an Ofsted graded 'Good' Academy in the Accrington area.

This English Literature / English Language Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups, across a range of abilities. You will be required to plan and deliver lessons that stretch the highest ability students and also offer support to low ability students, in order to ensure that all students have the best opportunity to make progress. Where appropriate, lessons should be planned to provide opportunity for discussion and also for students to become independent learners, in order to meet the needs of the new curriculum.

This Ofsted 'Good' academy caters for over 1100 students, they believe that through hard work and dedication from staff and students alike, learners can achieve their maximum potential. In addition to hard work this academy is dedicated to nurturing students in becoming ambitious, aspirational and creative young adults. In order for the learning environment they have cultured to be successful they aim for learners to be happy and enjoy learning independently and any successful candidate should be dedicated in supporting this aim.

To join the QT team and be successful in this English / English Teacher role you will need to:

*Hold QTS or equivalent qualifications that allow you to be placed in schools
*Have effective classroom management
*Build and develop professional relationships with both school staff and students
*Have an up to date knowledge of recent curriculum changes
