Salary: GBP20,000 OTE GBP35,000

The Business development role for this company is in 3 clear progression stages; firstly you will spend the first 9-12 months internally based, with a very varied day-to-day, this time will be spent learning about the company, the marketplace, the services as well as being responsible for the front end of the sales cycle (generating leads/prospects, warming and nurturing leads, building initial relationships with key decision makers, booking appointments, effectively opening doors for the Senior Sales people.)

After you have a good grasp of the industry knowledge necessary and possess the relevant sales skills. Based on your performance, you will be progressed through to handling existing accounts, running face to face meetings, negotiating and closing business. This would be when you reach the Business Development Manager position.

The final progression stage would be to Senior Business Development Manager where you are dealing with substantial accounts, having well qualified meetings booked for you and selling at board level to large businesses. This role will suit a proactive, ambitious and career focused graduate, and key characteristics for the role include; confidence, tenacity, strong work ethic and the ability to work well with people.
