Salary: Cash remuneration of up to £47,000 dependent upon the skills and experience that is brought to the role plus an Employer Pension contribution worth around £9,870.  For exceptional candidates an additional up to £5K market supplement allowance may be available. 

Location: Coventry or Manchester.

Department for Education are looking for a Lead Developer to join our IT Group. You will be working with a team of Junior Developers, Developers and other IT specialists. You will play an integral role in the development and effective implementation of a number of projects by owning the project lifecycle.  

In this role you will be given the opportunity to hire and lead your own team which will be integral to the department’s IT transformation projects. We offer a generous training budget, regular support from others, and the opportunity to work in a variety of roles and teams.

You will possess a breadth of technical skills and understanding of the following technologies SQL, .Net, C#, MVC, Entity Framework & LINQ, SSIS, VSTS/TFS, SSRS, HTML, CSS and WPF. You will be able to demonstrate substantial experience leading technical developments whilst being able to demonstrate that you have mentored and developed junior staff.
