Salary: Cash remuneration between £27,951 to £30,859 dependent upon the skills and experience that is brought to the role and a pension contribution of around £6,175.

Department for Education are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team of IT specialists. You will be working with experts across many different areas, so there is huge scope for exchanging ideas and innovations. You will be responsible for monitoring database usage and performance, as well as proactively intervening to prevent database issues. You will oversee the integration of different service, such as SSRS to SQL and load data to SQL as required. You will also produce guidelines and processes for best practice, and establish effective and efficient designs and solutions in SQL usage through liaising with the development teams. We want people who are passionate about providing professional services and want to make the Department a great place to work. You will have experience as an SQL Database Administrator, including SQL Server 2012/2016 in an enterprise environment. You will have good knowledge of a modern programming language including a full suite of SSIS, SSAS & SSRS, with particular emphasis on SSRS integration. You will have Azure experience, and preferably relevant Microsoft certifications.
