Would you relish the opportunity to be part of a Government Department in the middle of one of the most exciting and challenging IT programmes across Whitehall?

Are you someone that can look at, or be given a problem and remove all things that are hindering or blocking its successful delivery?

Public sector IT projects are different in scale to anything you can find in most private sector organisations, so how about being part of a team that is responsible for leading IT change projects for an entire Department and beyond?

Department for Education are looking for a Solutions Researcher to join our team of IT specialists. You will be working with the Senior Leadership team as well as across your peer group, consisting of Developers and Senior Solutions Managers. You will be responsible for analysing data of feedback and issues from end users of Digital Solutions (DS) products, presenting your findings to development teams and DfE customers. You will collate statistics for performance measures of DS services, and develop and test activities for the production and maintenance of DS products. You will manage support call requests for DS products, escalating complex issues to developers and provide ad-hoc project support.

We want people who are passionate about providing professional services and want to make the Department a great place to work. You will have experience of collating, analysing and presenting data from a previous role, ideally in an analytical role. You will have experience in the use of analytical software such as SAS, SQL, CSS, SSRS and HTML. You will be technically sound and have understanding of how to influence senior management and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

In return, you will enjoy an excellent rewards package which includes flexible working, Civil Service Pension and career progression, as well as constant investment into your development.

Closing date: midnight on Monday 6th March 2017.
