My Client currently has an excellent opportunity for a professional person holding a Class 1 HGV Licence (C+E) and mechanical or engineering skills, to develop their career further. As part of the specialist team installing medical equipment and diagnostic technology in hospitals, clinics and veterinary practices across the UK and Ireland you will be trained to become a Lead Technician gaining formal certification.

To be successful in this role, installers must be prepared to be away from home regularly with 3-4 nights out each week including weekends. The hours of work are 40-45 per week on average, based on working 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday with rest days planned between installations. Occasionally projects may run back to back and assignments may be scheduled at short notice which requires some flexibility and acceptance that weekend work is common.

In addition to a good starting salary a range of benefits including paid travel to site and accommodation, tax free overnight allowances and uniform is provided. Some overseas travel may also be available. This role is home based with travel to site required. Installations may be scheduled in the UK, Eire, Europe and occasionally worldwide.

Essential requirements for the role:

  • C+E Licence
  • Excellent customer focus
  • Good command of the English Language
  • Problem solving skills


  • Current passport
  • A mechanical / engineering / electrical background
  • An ability to work from technical drawings
  • Health & Safety qualifications
  • Previous experience of working away from home
