In a Nutshell.

We are seeking candidates who are looking to lead, manage and motivate a high performing team of engaged RTA Fee Earners within a national law firm. Team Leaders work closely with Qualified colleagues and senior management within the Personal Injury Business Unit.

This is the ideal role for anyone with prior management or supervisory experience in the motor claims industry, specifically with Motor Litigation experience.

About the Role.

The role entails leading a team of circa. 10 Fee Earners on a day to day basis.
Key Accountabilities
• Monitoring the caseload/workload of team members distributing files or tasks and dealing with capacity planning
• Maximising the personal development of team members and identifying training needs ensuring that post training evaluation takes place
• Providing an 'environment' where team members feel motivated
• Continuously improving the quality of work in the team, conducting audits as required by administrative policies and procedures, giving feedback to team members and drafting and implementing improvement plans
• Preparing for and conducting Team Meetings, including disseminating information from Team Leader or Departmental Meetings.
• Speaking with clients and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
• Effectively deal with complaints through agreed handling processes.
• To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2014

About You.

Ideally you will have previous experience of managing and leading a team of Litigated Fee Earners.

We are also looking to hear from candidates with acting-up or supervisory experience who are looking to make the step up into team management.
The team handles a mixed portfolio of non-portal litigated motor claims and therefore previous handling experience would be a distinct advantage, as would a law degree or relevant professional qualification.
Above all else you will be people orientated with a real desire to help team members achieve their career goals whilst delivering excellent legal services to clients of the firm.
