If you're a Mathematics NQT and are looking to join a secondary school in Solihull then my client school would be very interested in seeing your CV. The school is comparatively small which gives it a personal and intimate feel so often missing from large state secondary schools.

Due to a resignation in their Mathematics department the school are now keen to recruit a Newly Qualified Teacher of Mathematics/NQT to start with them from this September. Ideally they are looking to trainee teachers that have been graded either as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' on their professional placements, especially for the 2nd and 3rd placements. They are also looking for candidates that have a strong academic background and ideally a degree in Mathematics.

Since the appointment of a new Headteacher in 2014 the school has changed dramatically in terms of the quality of teaching, their exam results and the motivation of the teaching staff. The Head has tried to foster an ethos of inclusive learning where all pupils', regardless of ability, are treated with equal respect to ensure a happy and productive time for all at the school. Ofsted rated this school as a 'Good' School in their most recent inspection, a grade the Head is keen to maintain and hopefully better when they call again.

In order to maintain the desired standards the Newly Qualified Teacher of Mathematics will aspire to delivering the best possible lessons on a daily basis to pupils' at Key Stage 3 and 4 (the school currently has no sixth form). You will have learnt successful methods and techniques for keeping a class motivated and inspired to learn the subject of Mathematics.

The school is committed to supporting NQTs through their foundation year ensuring successful future Mathematics teachers are well equipped for their career as teachers
