Our client is a charitable housing association providing homes, care and support across Yorkshire.

They are currently seeking a Technical Manager to join their head office based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The main purpose of this role is to support the Development Team and work collaboratively with other departments within the organisation to deliver the new Homes Strategy along with providing technical and defect support on schemes. Within this role you will demonstrate technical knowledge and experience of the building process from inception to completion including gas and electric compliance; demonstrate quality control and effective defect resolution and review and updates standard specifications and house types as required. You will also be expected to demonstrate experience of modern methods of construction, energy efficiency and construction innovation; liaise with utility companies, local authorities and consultants to complete sectional agreements and warranties for schemes and take responsibility for the contractors and consultants paperwork, introducing and monitoring appropriate KPI's and producing monthly performance reports.

Reliable - You will have a good understanding and experience in housing development and construction, particularly construction methods including traditional and modern methods of construction as well as the construction processes. You will also have experience and knowledge of Building Regulations, Code for Sustainable Homes and Design and Quality Standards (HCA Funding).

Enthusiastic - You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and hold a relevant professional qualification (ICWCI, CIOB, RCIS) along with current electrical, gas and health and safety qualifications. You will have some experience of customer service particularly with emphasis around interacting with tenants / customers.

Respectful - You will be a good communicator who can liaise effectively with people at all levels and you will actively promote value for money and efficiency.
