I have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Night Manager at my client's large nursing home just outside of central Liverpool, providing specialist dementia and general elderly care for those aged 65+.

The home is registered to provide nursing and residential care to around 84 residents with complex and enduring conditions who are unable to lead independent lives. The home organises regular activities for residents and their families, to encourage socialisation and the enhancement of quality of life.

My client is an industry leader, one of the largest providers in the UK, and has RCN-accredited nurse development, career progression and leadership programmes in operation throughout all homes. This ensures all staff are kept up to date with the latest skills and knowledge, resulting in excellent nursing care.

Furthermore, the CQC have rated the home as Good in all domains, and the home has an outstanding local reputation.

In order to be considered for the role, you MUST be:

* A Registered Nurse in the UK with a clear NMC pin
* Able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and managerial skills
* An experienced senior nurse with the elderly and/or EMI patient group
* Prepared to work full-time (and extra hours as and when required)

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Taking responsibility for resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in their absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager
* Supervising and coaching colleagues, including registered clinical activity to provide assistance to residents in all aspects of their care needs
* Assisting the Home Manager with regular Supervision and Performance Development Reviews for all colleagues in line with the company requirements
* Ensuring that the reporting of any ill-health amongst residents and requests for GP/Professional visits are followed up
* Administering prescribed medicines and maintaining the appropriate records in line with the company policies, procedures and NMC guidelines
* Ensuring that each resident has an individualised Care Plan that is reviewed and updated regularly
* Establishing and maintaining good communication between residents, relatives and colleagues
* Managing, monitoring and maintaining budgets agreed by the Home Manager and Support Office

Benefits of the role include:

* Award-winning nurse training and development framework
* Company discounts e.g. insurance, travel, retail etc.
* Generous annual leave entitlement
* Support with revalidation
* Fantastic salary
* Career progression pathways
