Our client is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and is on its way to becoming outstanding having achieved a good Ofsted grade in June 2015.

They are currently seeking a Deputy Head of Hospitality to join their Department. You will be based at either the Trowbridge or Chippenham campus and will do the bulk of your teaching there, however you may be required to teach on another campus as well. The main purpose of this role is to play a key role in supporting the Head of Department whilst ensuring that teaching staff are directed and supported with resources to provide a high quality provision. Within this role your main responsibilities will include coordinating and monitoring the work of the hospitality delivery team, assisting with the development of the curriculum strategy for the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment to ensure continuous improvement and assisting in monitoring and improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. You will also be expected to take a key role in monitoring student performance; prepare schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans and contribute to the wider enrichment of students along with supporting student pastoral needs.

The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will be a chef and qualified teacher with substantial teaching experience from within a hospitality environment. You will have an excellent teaching grade profile along with experience of professional practice, teaching and course / curriculum development and you will ideally have experience of maintaining records for audit purposes as well as possessing excellent organisational skills and the ability to implement new systems of working. It is essential that you have knowledge and understanding with a post 16 environment and that you are student focussed and strive for constant improvement in the student experience.
