Tring Park School for Performing Arts is at the forefront of artistic specialist education in the UK for children from the ages of 8 to 19 who have a passion for dance, drama, musical theatre or music. We are currently seeking a Full Time Live-in Supervisor to provide pastoral care for a boarding house. This is a residential role with an excellent annual leave package. Accommodation is part furnished & single occupancy.

Previous experience as a Houseparent is an advantage but not a requirement. Individuals should demonstrate an ability to provide emotional support & discipline to children between 8 & 19 years old. This role may suit someone who has previously worked in the care sector or possibly in summer camps or similar youth programmes.

The full-time position will work 5 days out of 7 on a rotational basis - in addition to this you will have approximately 15 weeks holiday throughout the year.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 24th February, with interview dates to be confirmed. The employment will commence on 1st March 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Your duties as a Live-in Supervisor / Houseparent will include:

* Responsibility for the efficient day to day running of a boarding house.
* Meal & prep supervision.
* Providing medical escorts to hospital appointments etc.
* Helping with evening snacks.
* Providing a sympathetic ear as required.
* Dealing with any personal issues within the dorms.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

* Willingness to work with children across a wide age group. Be sympathetic, caring, responsible and patient.
* Confidence in dealing with difficult situations.
* Confidence in providing discipline within school policy guidelines.
* Demonstrable ability to manage daily household tasks.
* Ability to medicate as well as provide basic first aid if required.
* Clean full UK driving licence.
* Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word & Email.

* Salary of GBP22,595.
