Systems Engineer / Consultant - Defence

This is an immediate requirement for a Systems Engineer or Systems Consultant with experience of working in the Defence, Marine or Aerospace sectors.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to work for a leading Engineering Consultancy in the Bristol area. This Systems Engineering role will be working on a number of programmes and projects being run out of Abbey Wood. The ideal candidate will have experience of working on large Engineering projects with face to face customer experience.



Responsibilities for this Systems Engineer role

- Provide SME advice to the project team (PMs and Design Engineers) regarding the systems engineering processes
- Undertake / be responsible for capturing, validating and managing the project's requirements and Integrated Test, Evaluation and Acceptance strategy and planning
- Co-ordinate the systems engineering activity with the Safety Case team
- Provide SME advice / be responsible for interface management for systems with the project and in the other projects
- Ensuring consistency in approach to system, design and safety requirements capture and tracking
- Support options appraisal process, design and implementation processes
- Depending on personal circumstances the role may be treated as a Jacobs' assignment attracting a standard set of T&Cs for travel and subsistence

Requirements for this Systems Consultant role

- Knowledge, skills and competencies regarding the SE principles, processes and products
- Knowledge of the DE&S Acquisition System Guidance principles, processes and product
- Skilled writer and practitioner of SE documents (SRDs, VVRMs, T&E (SE Plans (ITEAPs, Acceptance Plans).
- Skilled at preparing presentations and presenting
- Competent (or better ) with IBM Rational DOORS
