New Business Development Executive - London - GBP30,000 + GBP20,000 OTE

The world's leading provider of intelligent business information is seeking an experienced and ambitious Regional Sales Manager to join their legal organisation. Their legal business provides innovative products and services into law firms, corporate legal departments and public sector clients globally, allowing customers to react quickly to the ever-changing field.

This role is to drive the sales of our PLC product suite within the UK and International Regions as assigned by the Sales Manager. Your role will also involve working in conjunction with our International Regional offices to achieve new sales by creating, building and maintaining relationships at various levels of decision-making and with end users through a mix of remote meetings directly with the client and predominantly over the phone.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims
  • Maintain excellent sales process methodology and communication
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio & territory according to an agreed market development strategy
  • Manage and own a sales pipeline which consistently delivers above expectation results
  • Manage product & service mix, pricing and sales according to commercially agreed aims
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
  • Plan, carry out & support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, eg, product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the sales process
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
