Our client, a well known and successful organisation are looking to recruit a Lawyer on an initial 6 month temporary contract.

The role is based in Central London and is paying GBP19.01 per hour. The successful candidate will be available to start work as soon as possible.

The purpose of the position is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating cases of serious and complex fraud, corruption or proceeds of crime.

Key Responsibilities:

*Working with investigators, IT staff, financial investigators, police and other law enforcement agencies on the effective progression of investigations;
*Assisting in managing the material on the case, complying with the SFO's obligations regarding unused material and with the disclosure of material under Section 3 of the Criminal Justice Act (1987);
*Assisting in the preparation of summaries and digests of evidence (including taped evidence) for counsel and the investigating team;
*Drafting, editing and reviewing witness statements;
*Assisting in the identification and in the pursuit of reasonable lines of inquiry;
*Attending court hearings with counsel;
*Assisting in the preparation and presentation of cases for transfer, in dealing with dismissal applications and/or preparatory hearings and for trial;
*Where assistance is sought working with and/or liaising as necessary with internal and external stakeholders, including overseas authorities;

Skills Required:

*Barrister authorised to practice in England and Wales or solicitor on the SRA's roll of solicitors
*Experience of working on complex criminal cases or cases involving complex civil litigation.
*Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary environment.
*Experience of liaising and corresponding with top tier law firms as part of the litigation process.
