Events Sales Executive based in Essex-Loughton

Our client is a giant in the media events and publications market and is responsible for the publication of some of the UK's most well-known consumer focused magazines. Their aspirational home events pull in visitors in their thousands and their established UK wide exhibitions include sponsorship from some of the world's biggest household consumer brands.

The role

Wishing to further their rise in the industry, our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Event Sales Executive to join their growing company.

The ideal candidate with thrive in a fast paced and demanding environment where meeting individual targets will be their daily goal. Driven to succeed and progress in the position, a strong work ethic with experience and a solid track record in media and events sales is essential.

An excellent telephone manner twinned with skill in generating new opportunities is a must, as well as the ability to nurture relationships to ensure repeat business.

Strong administration skills are essential as you will be expected to update databases and take booking details.

When not contacting prospective new customers on the phone, this role requires the candidate to arrange face to face meetings with quality exhibitors to meet KPI's and maintain an exceptional quality of exhibitor brands at the event and to visit competitor events to canvass new business.

You will also be required to be onsite to support your customers during events in London or Manchester as necessary.

About you

To be a success in this role, you'll need a strong work ethic, be an excellent communicator and have a solid background in event sales. You will have the insight to seek out new business opportunities, hit targets and grow your existing client base and spend.

12 month's experience in a similar role is desirable as is determination, resilience and persistence.

Experience of liaising with operations, credit control, marketing and management is a must as you'll be communication with other departments on a daily basis to ensure that the event runs smoothly and that an excellent service is delivered to your customers.

You will also be an ambassador for the brand, regardless of if you're on the phone, at an event or assisting other team members when necessary. A positive and enthusiastic outlook towards your role and the company with help you to convey our clients culture and build excellent relationships with both existing and prospective customers.

The Package

Based in Essex, London and Loughton, you'll receive a healthy salary of between GBP20,000 to GBP25,000 dependent upon skills and experience with on target earnings of a further GBP6,000
