A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Accountant to join a successful national charity through an exciting time of growth and new strategies. Based in the South East, the successful Systems Accountant will join the Charity`s finance team on a fixed term contract of one year and earn a salary between GBP45,000 and GBP50,000 per annum depending on experience.

The charity is dedicated to making sure deaf people get the same sort of access as hearing people to healthcare and health information. As a Systems Accountant, you will have a major part to play in the ongoing success of this ambitious charity and ensure it is flexible, adaptable and able to respond to changing commercial demands. The aim of the role is to take the lead in driving improvements with the Charity`s financial practices, procedures and finance systems and to raise the level of synergy between all systems responsibilities. There will be a degree of project management and analysis involved, interpreting the needs and requirements of stakeholders within the business into systems and processes.

The successful Systems Accountant will have demonstrable experience at Finance Manager / Head of Finance level. In addition, you should possess the following key skills and experience:

- Experience in implementing new accounting systems in an organisation with at least GBP5mil turnover
- Relevant Accountancy qualification
- Knowledge of the Charity sector, specifically in finance
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Interpreting requirements and needs of the business into systems, processes and reports
- Well organised, with project management skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence positively
