Head of Technology Architecture
Can you take HMRC to the next level?
HMRC is going through a technical revolution in a time of rapid change that will transform the service we provide to over 50 million individuals and nearly 5 million businesses across the UK. The vision is to become a paperless Tax Authority, changing from legacy systems and a one supplier approach (under the old ASPIRE programme) to a cloud and open source environment, with Agile working. This cutting edge technical evolution and business model will increase self-service through online channels. The CDIO annual running cost is c£600m and HMRC is investing £1.3 billion to transform HMRC into one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world, finishing the delivery of our multi-channel digital services. To enable this, we are looking to fill the following three exciting opportunities:
- A Chief Application Architect who will set a clear architectural direction for over 600 new and existing core applications
- A Head of Technology Architecture to work with the Director General and Senior Leadership Teams within Customer Compliance and a Head of Technology Architecture to work with the Finance and HR Leadership Teams within Corporate Services both roles providing leadership and direction to drive the alignment of business and technology architecture.
