Purchase Ledger Clerk - up to GBP22K - Portsmouth

An international engineering business has an opening for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team in Portsmouth. You will be maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring it's compliance to wider group policies.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

* Matching invoices and orders
* Processing invoices from receipt onto the purchase ledger
* Productions of monthly electronic payment runs
* Liaison with external suppliers regarding payments and queries
* Managing all invoice queries to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner and preserve the relationship between the company and suppliers
* Maintenance of nominal ledger incorporating processing invoices and raising manual cheques
* Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor when absent

Purchase Ledger Clerk Requirements:

* 5+ years experience in a purchase ledger position, within a manufacturing environment
* Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
