We operate a network of successful sales and lettings branches covering West and South West London, Surrey and North Hampshire.

We are currently recruiting for a proactive, efficient and reliable HR Assistant to work within our small but extremely busy HR function, based at our head office in Byfleet, Surrey.

You must display professionalism, enthusiasm, drive, self-motivation, resilience and determination. You must be honest and trustworthy, able to take accountability, be flexible, reliable and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. You must have excellent administration, organisation and communication skills. Discretion and confidentiality are key. Being able to multi task and work with accuracy but at fast pace is essential.

- Main Purpose of Role
- To provide support to the existing members of the HR/Recruitment team
- Responsible to:
- Group HR Director
- Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure all HR systems and databases are kept up to date
- To manage personnel files
- To produce correspondence for staff in regards to change of details
- To support directors with the probation process and complete relevant paperwork
- To compile data for payroll, working to a monthly deadline
- To complete employee references both incoming and outgoing
- To see through the leaver process
- To produce new starter paperwork such as offer letters and terms and conditions of employment
- To manage the new starter process including the return of new starter paperwork and chase any missing information/documents
- To be a first point of contact for any general HR queries from staff or members of the public
- To manage the holiday booking system and answer any general enquiries
- To send emails in regards to job applications or interview confirmations
- To produce quarterly employee turnover and exit interview reports, providing analysis for senior stakeholders in regards to leavers.
- To assist our Group Recruitment Director with recruitment processes, such as arranging interviews, headhunt activities or filtering CVs
- To manage debts owed by ex-employees
- To act as a point of contact for Shooting Star CHASE and promote fundraising activities within the group
- To ensure personal interest declarations are completed as necessary
- To take minutes in meetings/disciplinaries
- To assist, as necessary, with any Badger Holdings School of Excellence training, including diary management, liaison with external trainers, invitation to delegates and provision of refreshments.
- To organise events as arranged by HR
- To monitor absence of employees and take necessary action if necessary
- To send out an employee birthday list for each month
- To create reports as required by other members of the HR Team
- To provide support on various projects within HR on an ad-hoc basis
- To promote the vision, values and corporate objectives of the business at all times, representing and valuing the 4Ps and abiding by all legislation and the Group's policies, procedures and ways of working according to best practice
- To monitor, promote and help maintain standards (office environment, personal presentation, company car, communication, behavior)
- To follow an awareness and carry a shared responsibility for health and safety and the management of risks
- To carry out any other tasks or projects as deemed appropriate within the main purpose of the role
- In all the above responsibilities, to provide support, encouragement, direction and advice to our employees and management; ensuring we help everyone to be the best they can be

Hours: 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday
