We have a vacancy for a Coding Teacher whose main role will be to deliver after school and holiday club sessions on coding to children aged 8 through to 14.

We're a specialist provider who has a creative approach to delivering foundation computation skills to schools in London. Our current courses focus on teaching the fundamentals to programming using Scratch with plans in place to develop further courses and resources.

We're looking for an approachable, proactive person who has experience in either teaching computing and coding; ideally both! You must however have a strong interest in teaching children. At the moment we're looking for tutors in East Barnet and also Berkhamsted. The after school clubs run between 3:30pm and 5:30pm so you must be available at these times on weekdays. It's a part time role so whether you have just an afternoon or every day free we'll see if our availability matches.

All successful applicants will have to undertake a safeguarding and vetting checks; this will be completed before any teaching commences.

Desirable Skills and Requirements:

• Previous experience of teaching children and/or teaching computing or ICT.
• An understanding of the concepts of computer science and some knowledge of certain programming environments for primary age children, such as Scratch or Lego Wedo.
• Familiarity with HTML5/JavaScript/Python desirable
