My client in Cambridge is seeking a Paralegal/Administrator.

50% of the role will cover various aspects of administration support in a law office, working within the Commercial Property team, providing assistance, file opening and closures and management, filing, photocopying, typing/track changing documents, compiling reports, disclosure bundle production, making calls and letter writing, document management and similar activities There will be client contact and contact with colleagues so good interpersonal and communication skills are needed.

50% of the role will be paralegal work. The key responsibilities of which will be:
1. To act as a fee earning paralegal whose work is primarily sourced from instructions coming the Cambridge Commercial Property team.
2. To provide first class legal support and assistance to lawyers in the team.
3. To work alongside the members of the Commercial Property team and the wider firm in general in the development of the business of the departments and firm as a whole.

Skills:

Computer literate. Sound working knowledge of Microsoft office, primarily Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint (required for presentations)
Secretarial experience (qualifications helpful but not essential)
Property experience ideal - either commercial or residential property
Highly developed interpersonal skills, used to working as a team player
Exceptional organisational ability with sound methodology, including planning and follow through on issues
Excellent prioritisation and highly developed proactivity
Personable, with ability to get on with other team players.
Flexible approach, working for fee earners and other members of the team when necessary
Excellent telephone manner with internal and external clients
Excellent internal and external client focus
Ability to use a document management system /willingness to learn
Ability to deal with client enquiries when fee-earners are out of the office, forwarding the call to the appropriate fee-earner within the team
