Procurement Manager - York - circa GBP39k + benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the IT and Business procurement strategy, processes, and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy, project requirements and sound commercial, legal and ethical practices.
  • Dealing with service contracts across both IT and the wider business.
  • Responsible for the systematic execution of processes and procedures for the timely and cost effective purchasing of IT and Business products, services and contract reviews.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the tendering or retendering process actively producing the necessary documentation to complete a tender. This will include the development of; procurement strategy, AQ's, technical and financial evaluation criteria, requirement specifications and T&C's as well as being an active participant in the tender evaluation and award process.
  • The role will be responsible for ensuring that the negotiation of bids from vendors and management of the full life cycle of all IT and Business agreements, letting of contracts, contract compliance and major dispute resolution is managed. Also manages supplier relationships, supplier performance and service level administration for vendors on a case by case basis.

The Bridge are currently working with a key client based in central York who require an experienced Procurement Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a primarily service contracts environment across both IT and the wider business.
