Accounts Administrator in Crawley. GBP22,000 - GBP25,000 PA Depending on Experience

Due to business growth we are looking for an accounts administrator to join our new office in Crawley to assist the head of finance in various tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the finance who is looking to take the next step in their career development.

In your capacity as a finance administrator, you are expected to fulfil the following duties of your work:

Duties & Responsibilities
*The successful Accounts Administrator is a candidate who can demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in previous roles.
*Experience of both Purchase ledger and Sales ledger required
*Responsible for daily matching of high volume cash receipts to the invoices/clients which they relate.
*Processing card payments from clients and inputting the data onto our accounting package
*Preparing direct debit files for collection
*Double entry book-keeping
*Responsible for all aspects of processing, coding and posting of purchase invoices to the general ledger.
*Full supplier statement reconciliations at month end
*Handling and resolving supplier and branch queries
*Taking responsibility of all clients/debtors and ensuring their accounts are 100% accurate at all times.
*Petty cash processing and reconciliation
*Processing and checking employee personal expense claims
*Other monthly reconciliations - transfers between accounts, various accruals, intercompany transactions etc
*Actively being involved in the month-end process including prepayments and accruals
*Managing deadlines to ensure monthly reporting to our parenting company in Spain is done on time
*Liaison with all internal/external departments
*Assisting senior staff with general accounting duties.
*Ad-hoc tasks to support the finance team.
*Reviewing own work analytically to improve accuracy

Essential requirements
*Experience in an accounts department is essential. Must be part AAT qualified.
*In using the software package Oracle.
*At least 3 years' experience in a finance department
*Good knowledge of excel is essential for this position
*Two references (be able to provide a full 5 years history employment, education including any gaps or unemployment).
