Solution Designer - Web - UML
My client based in Chatham is currently going through a major digital transformation programme. This has identified opportunities to improve the user experience of our online offer, better meet the needs of our users and make our services more efficient.
*The role is to interpret the new service designs and the UX designs into a technical vision that the development can work from.
*Responsible for creating technology solutions to meet business requirements, in line with Transformation and IT Strategies and Architectures
*Working with the relevant product Owner, Scrum master, Technical Architect - responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the original solution
*Support the development of systems strategy and plan for the supported business area
*Provide ad-hoc consultancy as required to the business on technical matters
*Knowledge and expertise of one or more specific technical platforms, especially SQL and Oracle. A Middleware capabilities and how these integrate with customer facing applications. An understanding of the regulatory requirements (eg PCI DSS, Data Privacy.
*A good broad understanding of a wide variety of technologies.
Can describe existing technology infrastructure and has a working knowledge of emerging technologies.
Has an appreciation of implementing secure systems and web channel delivery.
Functional Analysis (Business)
*Has good general knowledge of products/functions outside of day to day area supported.
*Documenting using methodologies such as UML
*Able to create, with some guidance from IT, fit for purpose technology solutions which address the combined challenges of
omeeting business need
obeing deliverable within reasonable time and budgetary constraints
ocorrespond to Medway strategic guidance
*Additionally, demonstrates ability to produce solutions which are technically innovative and leading edge thinking.
*Able to challenge stakeholders creatively and professionally to create solutions which meet all of the above criteria but which are not necessarily obvious responses to pre-defined requests.
*Understanding of integration and implementation issues and their architectural implications.
*Basic understanding of best practice architectural and design methods.
