A leading primary in Lambeth, South London are looking for an EYFS & Key Stage 1 Leader from September 2017. For this EYFS & Key Stage 1 Leader post, you must be an imaginative experienced practitioner who has taught in both the EYFS and KS1 phase. It is also preferable that you are an existing Middle or Curriculum Leader who has a modicum of experience concerning the demands of leadership. It is also essential that you are a teacher who understands the rigours of teaching in an inner city school. The successful EYFS & Key Stage 1 Leader will have an adaptable approach that will allow them to positively affect teaching to a high standard and the confidence to communicate your ideas across the group. You should have the capability to provide outstanding training and bring a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum. The ideal EYFS & Key Stage 1 Leader should be able to deliver lessons that can engage all types of learners and use their educational zeal to increase student progression.

As an EYFS & Key Stage 1 Leader your role will involve you utilising your considerable knowledge and experience by leading both phases simultaneously. You will be responsible for setting the benchmark for excellent classroom practice across 4 year groups by assessing and appropriately assigning relevant training programmes to teachers. A vital component of this role is to ensure the primary curriculum is pitched at the right level. To develop an understanding of current practice, through discussion and observation, is an important part of your role and you will be supporting teachers to implement changes to ensure improvement across your phase.
