***Permanent, Full-Time role

This role requires a charismatic Geography Teacher/NQT who has a demonstrable track record of 'Good' or better teaching and a confident and approachable attitude to working with new people. We want to recruit a teacher who has the skills to communicate the appropriate curriculum in an engaging and motivational fashion through organised and structured lessons. You will possess the teaching confidence and the natural authority to lead your class well and overcome any behavioural issues that could arise. We want to see teachers with the drive to demonstrate full and extensive knowledge of the current curriculum. You should have the ability to both inspire and motivate your students with your charismatic personality.

As a Geography Teacher/NQT at this school you will be teaching as an important member of the effective Humanities Department and you will be teaching under the instruction of a conscientious Head of Humanities. Part of your role will include ensuring that all of your pupils are prepared for their exams, whether they are taking the KS3 end of year exams or GCSE's and A-Levels. You will have the responsibility of forwarding your personal and professional goals as you enrol on the excellent CPD programme. You shall be assisted on a day-to-day basis by a professional and enthusiastic TA who will provide you with another pair of eyes and ears in the classroom. The Humanities department is renowned in the school for its educational trips, high success rate, and modern teaching; this makes it very popular with students and teachers alike. A teacher with a creative flare and imaginative approach will thrive at this school and you shall be introduced to life at the school by a welcoming senior teacher.

This inclusive secondary school is found in Stoke-on-Trent and is easily accessible via regular and reliable transport links, with on-site parking. The school caters highly for low ability and challenging pupils who arrive from difficult personal backgrounds, often helping them to reach above average levels by the time they leave. It was previously deemed 'Good' by Ofsted but has certainly improved since then and is oversubscribed due to its popularity. It has some great community ties and is well equipped to aid the development of SEN students. Renowned for its tailor-made training programme, this school is the envy of the education community due to the consistent stream of high quality teachers it produces.
