Sales Account Manager


GBP21,000 basic OTE GBP26k

This is a telephone based role with a highly regarded, growing, organisation within the construction/renewables industry. The company are Investors in People and make the training and development of their staff a priority, they have also won awards for the level of customer service they provide.

You will be joining a sizeable sales team in an open plan office, in role where you have responsibility for managing a territory. You'll be desk based and looking after new (leads that come from the business development team!) and existing clients. Your role will be to provide and convert quotes into orders, negotiate on pricing and then manage the order - including liaison with the internal and external resources required.

You may also be required to attend exhibitions to raise the company profile and talk to prospects and customers to generate leads and build on existing relationships.

In this role, as Sales Account Manager, you will be expected to meet a personal sales target and will be paid bonus based on performance. The bonus is guaranteed in the probation period and the targets and expected activity are very realistic.

There will be a lot to learn and the company are looking for someone who will embrace this and take responsibility for ensuring they are always up to date with the product portfolio and industry standards. Whilst this is a sales role, you will also understand the importance and deliver great customer service.

The person!

- We are looking for an experienced telesales and account management professional who can demonstrate the ability to manage internal/external relationships and projects - Must be a 'real' team player as this role will see you working closely with other departments. - Must be someone who can take full responsibility for a workload, a starter/finisher who can meet targets and deadlines. - Well-developed interpersonal, networking and negotiating skills - Excellent levels of customer service via the telephone - Proficient in I.T. - databases, Outlook, Word, Excel - Construction industry knowledge (not essential).
