Our client is working to proactively prevent rent arrears???
???and they're looking for a customer-focussed, service improving,
Arrears Recovery Officer to help us do it.

They are currently seeking a customer focussed Arrears Recovery Officer to maximise their income by implementing the policies and procedures regarding debt recovery of all types of tenures.

Working as part of their Income Management Team you will be a great team player with the drive to deliver business success through effective income maximisation and arrears recovery. You will understand how to manage and minimise housing related debt, including leasehold, shared owners and Market rented tenancies/properties.

You will be required to provide advice and support to residents and be able to demonstrate an understanding of Welfare Reform legislation. You will also take responsibility for carrying out practical and formal debt recovery actions and will, on occasions, be required to carry out home visits, attend court and carry out evictions.

The successful candidate will have worked within a customer service environment and will have ideally worked within a recovery role, meeting challenging targets. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential along with good IT abilities. In addition you will also have excellent organisational skills with up to date knowledge of legislation and case law relating to debt recovery.

Due to the nature of the role you are required to have a full driving license and personal access to a car which can be used for work purposes. You may be asked to work flexibly or out of hours on occasion.
