A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a medium sized, growing business based within the North Leeds area. This is a 'hands on' role with a profitable, professional services business and you will gain start to finish experience covering all aspects of accounts . In this stand alone position, you will report directly into the Finance Controller and will manage two Accounts Assistants. This position will suit a commercially minded individual with a good telephone manner who is well organised and can demonstrate a successful track record ideally working in small to medium sized businesses. The ideal candidate will be part qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience and will join a supportive, long standing finance team.

Main duties of the role will involve:-

- Cash flow forecasting and cash book management
- Maintaining multiple bank accounts and reconciling foreign currencies
- Processing and manually calculating payroll on a monthly basis
- VAT returns and preparations of accounts to trial balance
- Calculating and entering quarterly prepayments and accruals
- Dealing with suspense account and cheques
- Entering payments and receipts onto Sage and carrying out bank reconciliations
- Contacting clients when required and resolving any queries or issues
-Completing sales tax returns and liaising with HMRC
- Overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger function and carrying out supplier statement reconciliations
- Managing the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger clerk and overseeing workload on a daily basis
- Managing the month end process and producing month/quarter end reporting
- Assisting the Financial Controller with quarterly management accounts
- Completing the EC sales list
